This weekend I was happy to attend the 2nd annual Untitled Music Festival in New Castle Virginia. My good friend Mike Woods, who we all call Prince Bob, set up and managed the whole thing. The festival took place on his mother’s farm land where 300+ people camped out in the woods behind the stage. The bands were primarily from the DMV area so there was a great community atmosphere right from the start. It was a weekend filled with great music, great people, great times and great food. Which is what I came here to write about.
There was a BBQ stand set up by the Lucas brothers and they provided food for the entire festival. Day and night. In the morning they had coffee and breakfast burritos and during the afternoon and night they had all of your classic BBQ foods. Hot dogs, cheeseburgers, bratwurst, etc… But one item on the menu ruled them all.
It was called the Hurricane Burger.
It’s a cheeseburger, topped with pulled pork BBQ and beef brisket, sandwiched between two grilled-cheese sandwiches. You heard that right. There were also a number of sauces and toppings you could put on it to completely shut down your heart and I chose coleslaw for mine. The burger held up very well despite the amount of contents in it and I will be going back to the festival next year just so I can experience this food from the gods once again.
Thank you to the Lucas brothers, the grill masters of the Untitled Music Festival, the Cowger family and Prince Bob for setting the whole festival up. I had a fantastic time.
