All of you Pokemon Purists are in for a huge treat. In conjunction with the release of the new Pokemon XY games in October a new version of the Pokemon anime will be released. Don’t get too excited, Pokemon: The Origins is only a special and not a full length series, but it looks awesome anyway.
The special will be based directly on the first Pokemon games, Red/Blue. The anime will follow Red as he starts his Pokemon journey, his rivalry with Green and his first encounter with a gym leader, Brock. Pokemon: The Origins will air on October 2nd in Japan.
