In a recent interview conducted by Emma Watson, the actress who portrayed Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films, author J.K. Rowling admitted that Hermione should have ended up with Harry- not Ron as she did.
She says, “I wrote the Hermione/Ron relationship as a form of wish fulfillment.” She later added “That’s how it was conceived, really. For reasons that have very little to do with literature and far more to do with me clinging to the plot as I first imagined it, Hermione ended up with Ron.”
Hopefully that doesn’t rock the boat too much for Potternerds. Rowling is known for adding “details” to the books after the fact much like when she revealed that Dumbledore was a homosexual- which sent ripples through social media.
