Bette Midler to Perform at The Oscars

Twice nominated Best Actress Bette Midler has signed on to sing at the Academy Awards Ceremony for the first time ever. The actress and singer has on multiple occasions presented during the show but never performed. Rumor has it she’ll be belting out a ballad during the ‘In Memoriam’ segment of the Oscars. She certainly has an array of songs that would do the piece justice.

Midler’s appearance adds to an already impressive list of musical numbers including all of the nominees for Best Original Song. Karen O, Pharrell Williams, Idina Menzel, and U2 will all be performing. U2 is the favorite to win for “Ordinary Love” but we know everyone’s looking forward to hearing Idina Menzel’s live rendition of “Let It Go” from Frozen.

The Oscars are inching closer and closer, airing on March 2.
