Sonic the hedge hog hasn’t really produced many winners in the last couple years. The mascot of Sega will be premiering a new game expected to debut later this year will be for the New Wii U along with the Nintendo 3DS. Skepticism is a knee jerk reaction when a knew sonic game is launched, usually averaging one a year since it’s premier in 1991. From 1991-1995 it did alright, never really able to reach Marios level of popularity, but a semi worthy rival for Nintendo. For a time at least. Then things got worse as the 21st century approached.

Like, really weird.
Unlike Mario, Sonic wasn’t able to maintain popularity and consistency compared to his Nintendo Rival. Ironic because the Sonic the hedgehog fandom is the most zealous and insane fandom online.

But as of right now, Sonic may be staying with it’s roots yet grasping the 3D platform well. Too soon to tell naturally, but the games literally cannot get any worse.
