Harry Potter fans were greeted with an email this morning that will give them the opportunity to explore the world of Hogwarts in even more depth.
Pottermore, an interactive website that allows fans to gain access extra information about the Potter-verse, will soon be available on Playstation Home. Pottermore is powered by Sony so a move like this makes sense.
The Playstation Home is a free 3D gaming community for the Playstation 3. Players will be able to play mini games, socialize with friends, and step inside great Potter moments and locations like Diagon Alley and the Hogwarts Express. Pottermore users will be able to link their Pottermore accounts to their PSN ID to get extra content.
Potter fans are torn on the usefulness and relevance of Pottermore. It seems as the books go on there is less information. Many fans feel like a Potter encyclopedia in book form would be better than the website. But many like the interactive nature of Pottermore.
Pottermore on the Playstation Home will be available for free on April 30th.
