Peter Jackson Wants to Direct Doctor Who

Peter Jackson, the man who brought us Lord of the Rings and King Kong, has expressed interest in directing an episode of Doctor Who.

Jackson, a long time fan of The Doctor, told Entertainment Weekly that he is very interested in bringing his directing talents to the Doctor. Apparently, Jackson expressed his interest to show runner Steven Moffat, but Moffat didn’t take him seriously. Jackson has since reassured Moffat that his interest in genuine.

Steven Moffat has not commented on whether or not Jackson will be allowed to direct an episode. What does that mean? Who knows. Steven Moffat is always a bundle of silence, secrecy and surprises.

Peter Jackson said that he doesn’t want to be paid to direct the episode. The only thing he wants in return for his talents is, wait for it, a Dalek.
