Marvel Comics & Wizard World Announce Exclusive Comic Book Program for 2014 Beginning with Groundbreaking ‘Miracleman’ Exclusive Variant Interlocking Covers By Neal Adams
Marvel and Wizard world are teaming up to provide the VIP attendees of all 2014 Wizard World conventions with an exclusive variant of some of Marvel’s best! Miracle Man #1 (pictured above) is the first one- set to be released Jan 24-26 at the Portland Comic Con then MM #2 at New Orleans Feb 7-9. Neal Adams has illustrated the first two limited-edition books (featuring interlocking covers) and they will be available in both and color and B&W sketch editions- the color limited to a run of just 3,000 copies provided at registration for free to VIP attendees (including celebrity VIP packages). The Black and White sketch will be limited to 2,500 copies and will be for sale on the convention floor. Just like the convention variants for NYCC it is safe to say that purchase quantities will probably be limited (so you can’t go buy 100 of them and resell them for $$$)
A CGC grader will be on hand to accept books for grading and Signature Series since Adams will be there to sign copies of the book, possibly for a small fee, hey we all gotta eat.
“As Wizard World adds shows across America, Marvel is pleased to be a part of their continued expansion,” said Marvel Entertainment SVP of Sales and Publishing David Gabriel. “We’re giving each cover the all-star treatment. With the biggest creators and the best characters on-board, we want each attendee’s Wizard World experience to be as special as possible.”
