Maroon 5 teamed up with “Wedding Crashers” director David Dobkin to crash real weddings, surprising couples with performances of their song “Sugar.”
“We’re gonna drive across L.A. and hit every wedding we possibly can,” Levine says at the beginning of the video, which was filmed on December 16th, 2014. “It’s gonna be awesome.”
Well, isn’t that just the best thing ever for these couples. According to their press release, the publicists got in touch with either the bride or the groom ahead of time. It was then their decision whether or not to let it be a surprise to the wedding or even their future spouse. You can see a variety of responses, from worried dads (that probably dropped serious coin judging by some of these weddings) to huge crowds erupting when the curtain drops.
