Game of Thrones‘s Jon Snow, Kit Harington, stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live this week to chat about shooting in Iceland for the fourth season of the wildly popular HBO show and shooting in Toronto for his big-budget-effects-fest new film Pompeii. The film, directed by Paul W.S. Anderson (Resident Evil), tells the story of impossibly buff slave-turned-gladiator Milo (Harington) whose abs fall in love with the beautiful merchant’s daughter Cassia (Emily Browning). Oh and there’s also a volcano.
The pair spent almost no time discussing the actual film – I wonder why? – and instead kept up a humorous back-and-forth about the oddities of Icelandic cuisine and Harington’s interesting lineage. Considering that the GoT cast hardly ever appears on American late night shows, Harington’s brief interview was charming and refreshing.
Pompeii is in theaters tomorrow, February 21. Game of Thrones returns to HBO April 6.
