Guardians of the Galaxy 2, crossovers and beyond Part 1

Nerding Out 101: I want to let everybody know before you read this, this is completely spoiler-free, mainly because I have no affiliation with Marvel. (*cough* where are my sponsors *cough). This entire article is pure conjecture, food for thought, if you will. Please comment, if you have anything to say. I may have some details wrong, I’m not a dictionary, I’m allowed to be wrong, get over it.

First:

-The Avengers-

Age of Ultron is a thing and it’s totally happening, but with a few changes from Avengers 1. S.H.I.E.L.D. is disbanded (see Winter Soldier) and Tony Stark begins bankrolling the group, starting with the reconstruction of Stark Tower, now “Avengers Tower”, the wonderful new headquarters and setting for a whole bunch of the new film. Avengers_TowerWe see a lot of Hulk and a lot of Banner as he and Tony try to noodle things that big brains noodle when Ultron comes a’knockin’. Age of Ultron was….I think 11 comics long, if you want to read it stop by the studio, there’s even an embossed cover for..I think it was called 11a or something I dunno it was delivered last year. BUT it’s an interesting spin for the series. Nobody really dies. With Quick and Scarlett in the picture, we are beginning to pump some fresh young life into the group, I think it will carry over for another 4 films before it really hits the fan. Okay- The Avengers are still the “in” crowd, but let’s consider a few things- if we get the Avengers/Guardians crossover, it will have to be in the culmination of the end of the lifecycles of nearly all of the current characters. *hint* I’m talking about the Infinity Gauntlet run where Thanos kills EVERYBODY. Thennn maybe realize the error of his ways, pass the Gauntlet to Warlock and team up with….you know what, I’m getting ahead of myself.

-Ant-Man-

Hank Pym, should be a cool film, I’m guessing he’ll join up with the Avengers.

-Daredevil-

Matt Murdock, can’t be worse than the original, I’m guessing he’ll just be used as a cameo at the beckoned call of Black Widow, then join up later in the New Avengers.

-Thor 3-

“Fate of the Gods”- Thor 3 will deal with Ragnarock, a Norse myth that results in the deaths of basically all the main figures (odin, loki, thor, heimdal) that we know and love. SOOOO this might give way for the new Thor, possibly the betathorfemale Thor. I’d like to see lady Thor team up with Beta Ray Bill. I would also like to see a love affair with Lady Thor and Natalie Portman. #justsaying

-Agent Carter-

This will be a standalone Film starring Haley Atwell (Carter) and Dominic Cooper (Howard Stark) about her life as a SHIELD agent after the Captain went down defeating Red Skull and should be pretty awesome.

250px-PUNMAX031COV_colREV-Punisher-

Should be standalone- we’ll see how the antihero does in amongst the happy peppy shmaltz of the Avengers.

-Luke Cage-

Like Punisher, Cage was also created by Romita Sr., but he’s a hulk-like mutant with unbreakable skin and strength/stamina in spades. He has ties to Avengers AND New Avengers, so we’ll see what happens there. Possibility for Vin Diesel.

Alright. I’ll do more of this in another article, or I’ll just keep adding to this one. . Dragons must be slain today! I’m writing book 3 of Tailwands right now, it’s pretty epic. Book 1 of Carpe Noctem is almost done and we’re making great progress on Cosplay Club and Knights Landing. Stay Tuned!

Things to look forward to:

Illuminati – (Beast, Black Bolt, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Hulk, Iron Man, Maximus, Mister Fantastic, Captain America, Namor [way cooler than Aquaman], and Professor X)

Infinity Watch – (Drax the Destroyer, Gamora, Maxam, Moondragon, Pip the Troll, Thanos, Warlock) – yes, Guardians opened up a huge cosmic door, and I’m loving every minute of it.
