Why the next Doctor Should Not Be A Female

Ohhhh controversy.

If you know anything about Doctor Who, or have been on the internet lately, you have probably heard the fangirls crying. Matt Smith, the current lead in popular british show Doctor Who will be leaving the show at the end of the year. Many fans are suggesting that it is time for the Doctor to be female, as he has been male for the past 50 year (and Time Lords can be trans gender). The main argument for the Doctor being female is that “its time we had a female Doctor.”

But I came across one youtuber that argues that the Doctor shouldn’t be female. He does it in a very respectful and non-misogynistic way (which is appreciated). Plus, he’s got some fantastic facial hair.

In the comments the discussion continues and Paul, very respectfully further argues his point and clears things up. The Doctor reminds him of his dad, plain and simple. He clears things up saying that he does believe that mothers and women can do everything fathers can, just that the Doctor seems like a father to him. A point and a perspective that doesn’t come up a lot. One commenter suggest that we probably don’t want a female Doctor written by Steven Moffat.
