Reese Witherspoon and Colin Firth star in Devil’s Knot, a dramatized account of the 1993 West Memphis Three murders, in which “the savage murders of three young children sparks a controversial trial of three teenagers accused of killing the kids as part of a satanic ritual.” The material has been covered extensively in prior media, including a 2012 documentary West of Memphis produced by Peter Jackson.
The film made its debut at TIFF last year and had a limited Canadian release. It won’t be made available in the US until May, with a quiet limited theater release and simultaneous VOD. Not surprising when the Rotten Tomatoes page looks like this:
