According to actors Alan Tudyk and Tyler Labine, a sequel to the hilarious 2010 comedy-horror Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil is in development. With most horror films – well, most films in general – you don’t want a sequel. A franchise is a guarantee that each film in the series will be progressively worse than the one that came before it. Look at Saw. Or Scream. Or Halloween. Etc, etc. You get the point.
But Tudyk and Labine seem to have a firm grip on what they want to do and neither seems the type to go ahead with a production they’re not behind a hundred percent. Like they say, “we will never make a shitty sequel.” So, sometime in the near future, we will get more of the lovable pair and their gory hi-jinks. Smash those horror tropes, boys.
