Did you know the Coen Brothers are producing a television series for FX based on their 1996 film Fargo? Dude, neither did I. Not until I saw the teaser starring Martin Freeman. This, along with the other clip, give away little of the show’s plot but anyone familiar with the original crime drama will get the joke.
The series will be based on the film, telling the story of “a drifter who convinces a dour insurance salesman to embark on an ever-riskier life of crime.” The cast is out of bounds, including Billy Bob Thornton, Martin Freeman, Colin Hanks, Bob Odenkirk, and Kate Walsh. The FX series will have a limited run of ten episodes.
