This trailer had an exclusive world premiere on Snapchat. So, there’s that. I’m not sure what else to think about it, clever concept? Kinda Bruce Almighty meets Family Guy.
My sense is that Simon Pegg is sitting back and howling on his way to the bank, I believe this is how the pretend interview I had with Simon (allegedly) went down:
“I was talking to my mate Nick Frost and I said ‘hey Nick, I could probably sell the Americans a script for absolutely anything and they would buy it. So he says ‘Yeah, and you should call it Absolutely Anything, so you can make Lionsgate say ‘we’ll buy absolutely anything’.’ So when Nick was finished eating his box of jammy dodgers we worked on a script for a couple hours and POOF, they gave me 10 million quid. Don’t worry, I’ll go on Doctor Who again and get back my street cred with them. They love that shite.”
And thus, this movie was born.
